The World Health Organization formed a new group to probe the origins of Covid-19. WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus announced the new group on Wednesday. India on Thursday backed the move by WHO and, without naming China, said all countries should cooperate. MEA spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said India has “interest in further studies and data on the issue of origin and need for understanding and cooperation by all concerned.” Meanwhile, China warned against “political manipulation” and said it will support the Covid probe. Covid-19 first emerged in China’s Wuhan in 2019 and WHO sent a delegation to Wuhan in January 2020 to probe virus origin. Watch the full video for more details.
